Storylines were pretty interesting too (e.g. "King Kong" (the 1933 film), "The Quiet Man", 1952, "Topper", 1937. Not to mention how wholesome they are and contain excellent humor such as "The Long, Long Trailer", 1954 or "Yours, Mine and Ours", 1968. To me, I don't think I can understand why anyone wouldn't like old movies. Different strokes for different folks, as they say. They're always a treat to watch no matter how many times I have watched them before. Old movies rock!!!!!!!!!!!! It might be a bit out of place, but it is kind of a funny situation.

I have to give the original higher marks, then the remake. The remake may be a better looking film, but there is still plenty of charm in the old black and white pictures too.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05872655981170955589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5493797586469318592.post-14625002915469337262016-08-04T01:58:14.825-05:002016-08-04T01:58:14.825-05:00I miss your posts. Needless to say one of my all time favorite Romantic movies. As a huge fan of the film, I was pretty sure the second part wasn't true (at least, he'd never say it publicly) but I was curious anyway.

He was brilliant in the SOM and should not hate it! There was always that smile playing about his lips as he uttered one of his dryly witty lines written for him by Ernest Lehman. There's so much more to that film than the syrup. It's FUNNY. At the time she had a servile cat that ran around her house and a pig named Winston. I don't think she liked Hitchcock. Gave me an autographed book she'd written.
