Wizard of Oz at McDonald's

Good news, McDonald's is bringing back their Wizard of Oz Madame Alexander Dolls starting September 12th! The line up looks much better than last year's. I was so displeased with their decision to include the Wicked Witch of the East last year that I wrote a very strange letter of complaint. It was all a joke really, but apparently I was right ... at least about the flying monkey thing!

I agree the new set is much cuter and "complete". I am a 40 year old who still adores the WOZ...It's never too late to have a happy meal! Just don't F*** with the toys on my desk! I absolutely loved your letter and Elvin's response! glad to know there's another one like me out there! Thanks for the smiles!

actually, there is a scene with the wicked witch of the west. Although she looks nothing like the one in the movie. If you remember the scene with the tornado, miss gulch transforms into the wicked witch of the west. I might be sounding crazy, but how would the ruby slippers be on the wicked witch of the west. Not many people know that the wicked witch of the east is in the movie. Nor do they now that the ruby slippers were firs introduced in the movie on the wicked witch of the easts feet in the tornado scene, rather than it being in munchkinland. However i do agree that they shouldnt have used that charactor. But i wouldnt be mad at mcdonalds, i would be mad at madame alexander. Mcdonalds designs there wizard of oz toys from madame alexander dolls and they decided to use the wicked witch of the east because ther e is actually a madame alexander doll that looks exactly like the mcdonalds toy. Just thought i would let you know a little facts about The Wizard of Oz/ Madame Alexander/ Mcdonalds.

it was the wicked witch of the EAST that was destroyed! The wicked with of the WEST, her sister was ALL throughout the movie. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry, but i meant to say the wicked witch of the EAST is the witch you see in the tornado scene, not the wicked witch of the WEST.

I am the person that left the long message on september 26th and I got comfused. Here is the letter i meant to put up...

There is a scene with the wicked witch of the EAST, yes the wicked witch of the EAST not the WEST wich Margaret Hamilton portrays in the movie. I am not talking about the munchkin scene where she is under the house, I am talking about the tornado sequence. If you look you'll notice miss Gulch riding her bycicle in the tornado, and when she cackles she turns into a witch. The witch she turns into is infact the wicked witch of the EAST not the WEST. Look close enaugh and you will see the ruby slippers on her. The ruby slippers are on the wicked witch of the EASTS feet under Dorothy's farmhouse. However , I do agree that Madame Alexander shouldn't have formed the wicked witch of the East to their liking. But, I wouldnt be mad at mcdonalds, I would be mad at madame alexander. Mcdonalds made their toys based off of the Madame Alexander dolls. There is a Madame Alexander doll that looks almost alike to the Mcdonals wicked witch of the EAST doll.

There, there is my re-edited form of my old blog. It is way better!!!!!

This has nothing to do with much of anything, but my high school English lit. teacher's aunt went to college with the actress who played Ms. Gulch!!!! Neat huh?

BTW is McD's going to have the collection back in 2009? My daughter wants a Dorothy doll very much, and I'd love to get her all of them!!
