Anne Hathaway as Judy Garland?
So word on the street is Anne Hathaway will be playing Judy in an upcoming film based on Gerald Clarke's biography, Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland. I don't think I've read the book ... you can only read/watch so many things about Judy before it gets old and kind of depressing! Nevertheless, I suppose I'll have to see this movie. It could be interesting, and I do like Anne Hathaway. Even though she's no Judy!

I read the bio of Judy last year. It was depressing, but I still love Judy, and I feel sorry for her. Anyway, I'm not so sure about Anne Hathaway, especially with singing.
Good point about the singing. We'll see what they do with that. I guess I don't generally expect much from movies about Judy. I'd rather just watch an actual Judy movie :)
I would just like to point out that Anne Hathaway has sung in a couple other movies, and seems to do pretty well... so it may not be too much of a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it'll be the greatest thing ever, but it may be better than you might think. :)
Being a major Judy Garland fan, myself, I'll definitely be watching this film and am always glad when Judy's the subject of any current event. ;-)
I'll be rooting for Anne, though. This will no doubt be the toughest role she's ever taken to date.

I know I'm super late on just about all the posts i'm commenting on but Anne Hathaway actually has a really great voice. As you said, of course, she's no Judy. But then again, no one else could be.
